Welcome to the Georgian College Library Commons

Laurentian University @ Georgian College students have access to a wide variety of library services and resources at both Georgian College and Laurentian University. This guide is intended to help you understand what is available to you and how to access it.

    Understand which library & student cards you have (or should have) and what you need them for.
  • Finding books, videos & more
    Links to the library catalogues for GC and LU, as well as other valuable information about locating books, videos & more
  • Accessing Electronic Resources
    LU students access electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals, databases and more on the LU library website.
  • RACER - Interlibrary Loan
    LU students use a system called RACER to request books from other universities and campuses through Interlibrary Loan.
  • RefWorks
    RefWorks is an online system designed to simplify the process of creating citations and bibliographies.
  • Tutorials & Help
    Find out about library skills workshops are offered periodically by the GC library staff, as well as other tutorials and help
