Alumni & Community Users - Library Privileges

The Library and Academic Success empowers students and faculty to learn for the future.

Georgian Alumni and community members surrounding Georgian campuses are eligible to borrow library materials.

To obtain a Georgian College library account:

• Community users must present a current library card from one of the libraries below, as well as personal identification.
• Alumni must present their Alumni cards available for request by contacting the Alumni office.

Alumni and community users may*:

• Borrow books
• Use library computers by presenting valid photo ID and proof of address

*Some restrictions may apply. Please contact the campus library you wish to use for full details.

Alumni and Community - Online Resources

Due to licensing agreements, access to online library resources for Alumni and community members are not available from on or off-campus.

Open Access resources are freely available to the general public for viewing. There are many ways to access openly available research and scholarship. Contact us for more information.

Reciprocal Borrowing Agreements

If you belong to one of the following libraries, you may get a Georgian Library card or
If you are a Georgian student or staff, you may request a library card with the following libraries:

• Barrie Public Library
• Orillia Public Library
• Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library
• Chippewas of Rama First Nation Public Library
• Essa Public Library
• Eric Silk Library (OPP Headquarters)
• Royal Victoria Hospital Health Library
