Professional Associations

It's quite important to touch base with professional associations for many reasons. These associations foster networking with industry experts, create professional development opportunities and offer a chance to be a part of advocacy efforts. Check out the following associations which impact content creators.

American Influencer Council
Created for career creators, the American Influencer Council (AIC) champions entrepreneurship and lifelong learning amongst social media custom content professionals working in the creator economy. A first-to-market concept exclusively dedicated to career creators, the AIC is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit membership trade association publicly launched on June 30, 2020. Members join the AIC to give back to their industry and support the next generation through knowledge-sharing experiences.
CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators
CAPIC is the collective voice and advocate for professional photographers, illustrators, and digital artists in Canada. We work hard to maintain industry standards, create a community, fight for copyright protection, and much more. Our work helps all the professionals in our industry, but only members benefit fully. As a professional association, CAPIC’s mission is to promote quality and creativity, as well as good business practices.

RGD (Association of Registered Graphic Designers)
The Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) is Canada’s largest professional association for graphic designers. The association’s membership of more than 4,000 people includes firm owners, freelancers, managers, in-house designers, educators and students.Members work in the design disciplines engaged in developing effective communications, including editorial design, motion design, brand design, environmental design, UX design and information design.
Web Content Creators Association (WCCA)
The WWCA works to further the professionalism and excellence of content creators. They accomplish this with their Code of Conduct, their advocacy efforts and training endeavors.
