The Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property is a federally-registered charitable not-for-profit organization that promotes responsible preservation of the cultural property that gives Canadians a sense of place, of history and of artistic expression. The CAC serves individual and institutional members by providing opportunities for networking, professional development, advocacy, and information dissemination.

The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada’s public arts funder, with a mandate to “foster and promote the study and enjoyment of, and the production of works in, the arts.”

The Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) allows Canadian museums to connect with each other and their audiences through the use of digital technologies.

The Canadian Museums Association is the national organization for the advancement of Canadian museums. providing support with training and professional development programs, conferences, publications and networking opportunities.

The Contemporary Art Galleries Association (AGAC) is a non-profit organization that brings together galleries across Canada. AGAC defends the moral and economic interests of its members and ensures the recognition and prosperity of the market for contemporary art in Canada.

The mission of the FCA is to advance the knowledge and appreciation of art and culture to all Canadians, offering education, exhibition and communication in the Visual Arts, and to support and promote emerging to professional member artists.

The International Council of Museums is a membership association and a non-governmental which establishes professional and ethical standards for museum activities.

The Ontario Museum Association strengthens capacity among institutions and individuals active in Ontario’s museum sector, facilitates excellence and best practices, and improves the communication and collaboration of its membership. The Association advocates for the important role of Ontario’s museums to society, working with all stakeholders, related sectors and industries, and other professional organizations.

The Society of Canadian Artists represents art supporters and professional artists who work in a variety of styles and media.

Huronia Museum is located in Midland, Ontario, Canada. It features a replica of a “pre-contact” Huron/Ouendat village as well as an exhibit gallery featuring tens of thousands of historic artifacts ranging from photographs, native archaeology and art by members of the Group of Seven, and others.

The MacLaren Art Centre is the regional public art gallery serving the residents of Barrie, the County of Simcoe and the surrounding area. The Gallery has a permanent collection of 26,600 works of art held in trust for the public and presents a year-round programme of world-class exhibitions, public art projects, education activities and special events.

The McMichael provides an introduction to Canada’s art, art making and artists. It's permanent collection consists of almost 6,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and other artists who have made a contribution to the development of Canadian art.

The Ontario Provincial Police Museum is housed in the forces’ provincial headquarters. Numerous items are on display, including vintage vehicles, photographs and investigative tools.

The Orillia Museum of Art and History offers a regular schedule of art exhibitions showcasing a collection of work of outstanding international, national and regional artists, as well as featuring a variety of exhibits showcasing Orillia’s history with artifacts and archival materials.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is a museum of art, world culture and natural history in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the largest museums in North America and the largest in Canada.

This community museum focuses on the history of Simcoe County and features Huron and other Native artifacts, 16 outdoor historic buildings and a Victorian wing.
