AMMI Canada is the national specialty association that represents physicians, clinical microbiologists and researchers specializing in the fields of medical microbiology and infectious diseases. Through promotion of the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of human infectious diseases and by our involvement in education, research, clinical practice and advocacy, AMMI Canada aims to serve and educate the public and also to enhance the career opportunities of its members through professional development and advocacy initiatives.

The Canadian Association for Biological Safety/L’Association Canadienne Pour La Sécurité Biologique (CABS-ACSB) was formed in the 1990's as the Canadian affiliate of the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA). CABS-ACSB aims to establish a Canadian network of individuals interested in a wide variety of biological safety issues and to enhance the knowledge and understanding of biological safety.

ACMID (Canadian Association for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) is an organization that began from a public health microbiology background and is now one of Canada’s longest-standing microbiology associations. CACMID actively promotes cooperation, collaborative research, and education amongst microbiologists, and also the development and promotion clinical standards and guidelines. CACMID is inclusive of all microbiology-related positions including technicians, clinicians, medical microbiologists, physicians, students, research scientists and laboratory managers.

The Canadian Association of Pathologists (Association canadienne des pathologistes), a voluntary professional organization, advances the interests of our profession and promotes high quality standards for patient care by providing national leadership and promoting excellence in pathology and laboratory medicine practice, education and research.

Our CHS mission is to lead and influence the practice of hematology in Canada through being a recognized and valued voice of the Canadian hematology community.

The Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) is the national certifying body for medical laboratory technologists and medical laboratory assistants, and the national professional society for Canada's medical laboratory professionals. They are a not-for-profit organization that is funded entirely by membership dues and revenues from goods and services.

The Canadian Society for Transfusion Medicine is a multidisciplinary society which promotes and supports best practice in transfusion medicine in Canada through education, communication and partnerships.

The Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists (CSCC) is a national scientific and professional society representing clinical biochemists across Canada. It provides leadership in the practice of clinical biochemistry and clinical laboratory medicine through service, education and research. The Society establishes standards for diagnostic services and serves as a resource to government, industry and healthcare associations, in the interest of the general public.

The Canadian Association of Pathologists (Association canadienne des pathologistes), a voluntary professional organization, advances the interests of our profession and promotes high quality standards for patient care by providing national leadership and promoting excellence in pathology and laboratory medicine practice, education and research.

The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) protects the public’s right to safe, competent, ethical health care. We do this by regulating the professionals who conduct lab tests across the province. The CMLTO is the regulatory body for approximately 7,000 medical laboratory technologists (MLTs) who practise in Ontario.

The Medical Laboratory Professionals' Association of Ontario is a non-profit health professional organization founded in 1963 with more than 3,400 members across the province. The MLPAO represents the interests of Medical Laboratory Professionals in Ontario with government, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, health care professions and other stakeholders. The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) is the regulatory body for Medical Laboratory Technologists in Ontario. www.cmlto.com.
