Lakehead Username

What is my Lakehead username?

Your Lakehead username is a combination of your first initial and part of your last name. Your middle initial might be included and you may also have a number at the end. Your username is the first part of your Lakehead email address.

Here's an example:

Lakehead email address: jcdoe9@lakeheadu.ca

Lakehead username:       jcdoe9

Where do I find my Lakehead username?

Look for your acknowledgement email from Lakehead that was sent to you when you applied. Your Lakehead username and a (temporary) password is listed there.

Your Lakehead username and password is used to access Lakehead library resources.

You will be prompted to enter your Lakehead username and password to:

• access their databases, electronic resources (books, journals)
• request items from Lakehead catalogue

On and off campus access to databases, electronic resources (books, journals):

• Use your Georgian network username and password to access Georgian's resources.
