Seven Grandfather Teachings

The Seven Grandfathers teachings are:

Bravery

Humility
Truth
Wisdom
Love

The Seven Grandfathers story is part of the Anishinaabe creation story. At a time when the Earth's people were having trouble, the Seven Grandfathers sent their helper to find someone who could help the Earth's people "live in harmony with the Creation". The Seven Grandfathers passed on their teachings to a child who was selected to help guide the Earth's people.

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi describe the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
