  • Quizlet  offers tools for students to make flashcards, practice spelling, play learning games, test their knowledge, collaborate with other students, and more.

  • Kahoot is a game-based learning platform, used as educational technology in schools and other educational institutions. Its learning games, "Kahoots", are multiple-choice quizzes that allow user generation and can be accessed via a web browser, phone, or the app itself.

  • LinkedIn Learning / Lynda.com is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology and creative skills.

Writing Tools

  • Grammarly offers two online platforms to help students check their work for sentence clarity. The first platform is free, but it will only provide a limited grammar check. Whereas, Grammarly Premium checks students' work beyond basic grammar. It will look for more complex structure changes needed, word redundancy, word choice, and plagiarism.

  • Engvid is a website that focuses on a variety of English language lessons – they cover a multitude of grammar, general writing topics, language/speaking skills, and sentence structure skills.

  • Writeonline.ca is an academic writing website developed by a number of Canadian universities. It has a straightforward and clear format that offers four streams of writing help: case study report, lab report, literature review, and reflective writing. This website is great resource for students writing lab reports, such as Bio Technology

Math Tools

  • Wolfram Alpha is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from externally sourced "curated data", rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine might.

  • Photomath is a mobile application described as a "camera calculator", which utilizes a phone's camera to recognize mathematical equations and to display the step-by-step solution onscreen.

  • Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators.

Health Tools

  • Visual Anatomy Free is an interactive reference, and education tool. It contains 20 high-resolution images and more than 250 feature points which can be interactively selected. This app is ideal for physicians, educators or professionals, allowing them to visually show detailed areas to their patients or students - helping to educate or explain conditions, ailments and injuries.
