We support students who are languages learners and all students with the foundational writing skills necessary at college.

Language Help Centre Procedures

Students are supported in:

  • using proper grammar
  • writing clear sentences
  • creating paragraphs
  • preparing a presentation



  • Barrie - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
  • Orilia - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays

Paraphrasing (Online - Fridays at 3 p.m.)

Avoid plagiarism and losing marks. Make the best use of your sources and make them serve the purpose of your essay! We’ll help you understand:

  • how to critically process information from a source; and
  • how to effectively put it in your own words.

  • authentic speaking practice;
  • fun activities; and
  • a chance to meet other Georgian Grizzlies in person.
