What is Language Help?

We support students who are languages learners and all students with the foundational writing skills necessary at college.

Language Help Centre Procedures

Students are supported in:

  • using proper grammar
  • writing clear sentences
  • creating paragraphs
  • preparing a presentation

 

Hours:

  • Barrie - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (in-person and virtual support)
  • Other campuses - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (virtual support, please email Language Help Centre)

Attend our Workshops

 

Conversation Circles (Barrie - Mondays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Barrie Campus: Begins September 9th. Join us in room A253..

You can’t learn a language if you don’t practice speaking! Join us in the Conversation Circle for:

  • authentic speaking practice;
  • fun activities; and
  • a chance to meet other Georgian Grizzlies in person.

Facilitator: Natalie Piergentili

Workshops run weekly except during study weeks or statutory holidays.
