A Four Step Model for Teaching Selection Interviewing SkillsIn this article the authors discuss the teaching of interviewing skills for the evaluation of job seeking candidates. It is noted that the course of study is based on experiential learning and helps students prepare for a career in human resources and personnel management. The process is divided into two components: the teaching for basic interviewing skills, and the application of these skills through role-playing and mock interviews with fellow classmates. The process can be videotaped to assist in feedback and discussion.
