I want that book! Getting a book from another campus
At Georgian, it doesn’t matter what campus you go to, you have access to the resources at all the campuses. Have you found a book at another campus? Want to look at it? We can get that book to you! Just follow this example.
Let’s say you did a search for “resumes” and found several books. [click the checkbox: Georgian books on the shelf] Here’s a title at Barrie campus and it says it’s “On the shelf”. Select/click “check availability”. Look for “Place Hold” on the left hand side and select it. Enter your library UserID & PIN, select the campus to send it to and click PLACE HOLD.
If you do not have a Library UserID & PIN, please call us at 1.877.890.8477 or 705.722.5139. The book will be sent to your campus reception or library. You will be contacted through your Georgian email or by phone when the book can be picked up.
Borrow from another Georgian Library location
Through "My Account" in the library catalogue, use the "Place a Hold" feature to request a resource from another campus and have it delivered to a campus of your choice.
