OERs at Georgian

OER Adoption at Georgian

Adapting or creating a new OER is a worthwhile, but sometimes time consuming activity. Depending on your subject area, we can also explore:

  • Adopting an existing OER textbook
  • Adopting a set of OER/open access readings to replace your textbook
  • Creating a Pressbook or digital course pack for your students that incorporates a variety of OER resources

Our success stories below are still being added! Please email oer@georgiancollege.ca to let us know about your project(s). Stay tuned for updates.

OER in use & Coming soon

Adopting an existing OER is an easy and effective way to incorporate low-barrier course materials into your course. Not sure where to start? We can help you explore existing OER and determine good starting points, based on your course, syllabus and learning outcomes. Take a look at some of the great OER already in use at Georgian...

Georgian colleagues have adapted existing OER to create the following texts and digital course packs.

The following OER have been created by Georgian faculty, often in collaboration with other Ontario colleges.

The following OER are either being considered for use, or are currently in progress. The OER Design Studio in the Library helps to support faculty adoption, adaptation, creation and implementation of OER. Contact us to discuss your next project.
