Purpose of this Guide

The purpose of this guide is to support nursing scholarship and curriculum information needs. The content is aligned with some of the major topics within the Registered Practical Nurse Diploma Program. You can find relevant information categories of health topics such as patient safety as well as by course titles such as health assessment.

The guide provides library ebooks, reports, videos and nursing association standards, best practices and guidelines to support professional practice. It also provides information from key government agencies and public health associations to help inform nursing practice.  Lastly, the guide identifies key nursing and health-related databases which provide peer-reviewed nursing and health journals necessary for academic assignments as well as strategies, guidance and tips on how to begin researching for academic assignments. Please check out the EDI & B tab for more information on equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging and how it impacts nursing.
